On April 1st, a mysterious young boy appeared in the streets of downtown QueenCity. Clad in royal regalia and a crown resembling the one worn by the Princess of Centralia, the boy identified himself only as Prince Alex.
Prince Alex showcased extensive magical powers, which he used primarily to play various "pranks", such as changing traffic lights to nonstandard colors like purple and changing the signs on local businesses to display images of himself. Those on the receiving end of his "jokes" were not amused.
The last straw came when Prince Alex encountered Constable Jennifer Payne of the Queen City Metropolitan Police and transformed her police motorcycle into a toddler's tricycle. Constable Payne detained Prince Alex, but released him shortly thereafter, issuing a summons to appear in court the next day to answer for a string of offenses.
The next day, dozens of angry citizens gathered in the courtroom to watch Prince Alex's arraignment, only to find that Prince Alex did not appear. Just as the judge was about to issue a warrant for Alex's arrest, however, the sovereign herself, PrincessAlice, burst into the courtroom. Princess Alice informed the court that she had taken matters into her own hands, apprehending Prince Alex on her own and sentencing him to one year in the palace dungeon. "You have my word," Princess Alice told the judge, "that you will not be hearing from Prince Alex until next April 1st."
The public and the press lauded Princess Alice for taking such decisive action against the unruly young prince, though members of the Royal Household categorically declined to comment, for reasons that remain unclear.
