The Coincidence

Any time PrincessAlice, or anyone with a direction connection to her, ends up interacting with a civilian police officer, it is always Jennifer Payne, regardless of when or where the interaction occurs, or which law enforcement agency is ostensibly involved. The Princess has encountered Constable Payne as an agent of municipal police services, such as the QueenCity Metropolitan Police, national police services, such as the Royal Highway Patrol, and even specialized police services, such as the park rangers division of the National Park Service. The Princess has seemingly never noticed this coincidence, let alone questioned it.

The Explanation

In reality, Constable Jennifer Payne is not an ordinary human employed by a government agency, but an Asterian--specifically, the embodiment of the concept of order, on a mission to counterbalance Princess Alice and her intrinsically chaotic nature. By manifesting as an officer of the Princess's own government, she cleverly evades the Princess's suspicions: why would she ever suspect that her own sworn servant is in fact her greatest rival?

Payne detained PrinceAlex on April 1st after he transformed her police motorcycle into a toddler's tricycle as an "epic prancc".

Payne has argued, unsuccessfully, that Imicow should revise their strict no-weapons policy for the RoyalLibrary to include an exemption for police officers. Currently, the only exemption is for magical girls who fight scary monsters.
