The Centralia Guard Forces are the military defense force of Centralia.
While Centralia has never been to war--despite TsarinaMalice's many attempts to goad PrincessAlice into declaring war on Discordantia--the Crown maintains armed forces, ostensibly for the purpose of self-defense. In practice, however, the Centralia Guard Forces mostly serve to protect the rest of Centralia from the Princess herself.
The CGF operates under the command of Adgeral1 NicoleBrie.

Branches
The Centralia Guard Forces comprise five branches. Except as noted, all CGF branches are based out of the national headquarters, The Star, in QueenCity.

- Centralia Naval Guard
- Centralia Air Guard
Centralia Magic Guard -- Headquarters appear as a nondescript storefront in downtown QueenCity, but none can enter without authorization.
Centralia Honor Guard -- Branch tasked with protection and security services for the PrincessOfCentralia, other high-ranking government officials, and foreign dignitaries. The Honor Guard formally has no home base, instead traveling with the Princess, though in practice this has led to semi-permanent installations at the PalaceOfSerenity and DameAdorabellesAcademy.
Princess Alice's involvement
Despite nominally being the commander-in-chief, Princess Alice has little involvement in the day-to-day operations of the CGF. When she does get involved, all she usually does is show up at a CGF facility in the uniform of a general or admiral to "remind" the officers that she outranks them. (She has also tried this with the faculty at Dame Adorabelle's, who are quick to remind her that the school is a privately-owned civilian facility.)
Princess Alice has a habit of giving "promotions" to CGF personnel she personally likes, resulting in fairly nonsensical distribution of ranks and titles. This has led most branches of the CGF to develop their own informal chain of command, because the Princess's meddling has rendered the formal chain of command incomprehensible.
