Centralia

Centralia, formally The Princessipality¹ of Centralia, is a magical kingdom on the planet Earth, founded by PrincessMeredith, an alien from the planet Asteria, and her partner AdorabelleWallace.

History

Government

Centralia is nominally an absolute monarchy under the reign of PrincessAlice, but she spends more time playing Super Smash Bros than she does actually doing any kind of governing, so in practice, all her nominal "subordinates" are making it up as they go along. In particular, TheHandler, PrincessNicki, and the Minister of Information Systems do most of the work of actually keeping the country together on a day-to-day basis.

Which is just as well, really, because any time Princess Alice does do any "ruling", it's always a disaster. Princess Alice is notoriously mercurial, often making new "laws" only to forget about them the moment she decides she'd rather focus on something else.

• "Princess, I know you said you wanted to go southwest, but it looks like we're closer to heading due south."

  "That's OK. My whims are not legally binding."

  "But wait, yesterday you said your whims are legally binding."

  "My whim that my whims are legally binding is not legally binding."

  "You are the reason why every Centralian law school has an 85% dropout rate."

  "I prefer to think of it as setting the bar high."

  "Heh. Did you do that on purpose?"

  "Do what on purpose?"

  "Like, 'bar' can also refer to...oh, never mind."

  "If I said something clever, it was definitely on purpose."

  "Of course it was, Your Highness."
