The Railroad Track Leading To A Cliff And Nowhere Else is a railroad track leading to a cliff and nowhere else. I don't know what you were expecting, here.

Oh, you want to know why such a thing exists? Sure. You see, PrincessMeredith can fly, and so she kind of thinks it would be easy for everything to fly. So, she commissioned a railroad track leading off a cliff as a launch platform for flying trains. The flying train project never got off the ground (get it?), but the track was constructed, and received regular maintenance for quite some time.

When PrincessJeanette took over, she realized that spending money to maintain the Railroad Track Leading To A Cliff And Nowhere Else was really, really pointless, so she had it formally decommissioned. Although the tracks were still intact, they began to deteriorate, receiving no further maintenance for several decades.

In 2016, PrincessAlice ordered the dead-end track be disconnected from the rest of the CentRail network, and established the Railroad Track Leading To A Cliff And Nowhere Else National Historical Site. Railing was installed along the edge of the cliff to keep visitors safe. It's worked well so far.
