Background
A long time ago, a little girl named Stephanie Nilsson inherited a lot of money from her rich grandmother. Being 8 years old at the time, Stephanie used her money to follow her childlike dream: to build the biggest, grandest toy store in the entire world!!
Stephanie decided to call her place Stephanie's Toy Palace--cut her some slack, she was 8--and Stephanie's Toy Palace quickly became one of the most popular destinations for children not only from Centralia but from all across the region.

The largest selection of plushies and stuffed animals of any store in the world!
A video game section offering every game console ever released...as well as several which were not released!
An elaborate model railway, with tracks twisting and bending all across the store. Curious children often note that specific trains seem to be "following" them around the store, as they encounter the same train across multiple different parts of the store.
Throughout the store are several signs pointing to "Treasure", though the arrows on the signs seemingly contradict each other and, if followed very carefully, simply lead the follower into a complicated loop. Spoiler: the treasure was YOU all along!!
Princess Alice
Upon hearing news of the toy store's opening, PrincessAlice herself decided to pay a visit. She was given a VIP tour by Stephanie herself, and the two quickly became close friends, with the Princess visiting Stephanie's Toy Palace nearly every weekend and hanging out with Stephanie as they played with the toy trains and dollhouses and all the latest video game consoles.
After a while, however, Princess Alice stopped visiting. She claims it's because she's busy with her royal duties, but we're pretty sure she actually just kind of got distracted with other things. But...the Princess did eventually pay a visit to Stephanie again, and the two had a...mildly awkward reunion.
Princess Alice: Didja miss me?
Stephanie: Princess! I haven't seen you in almost 30 years!
Princess Alice: It's been that long already? Wow.
Stephanie: I thought you had forgotten about me.
Princess Alice: I could never forget a friend! Say, something about you looks different. Have you gotten...larger, somehow?
Stephanie: I mean, yes. Last time we saw each other, I was 10 years old.
Princess Alice: ...right...and you look different because...
Stephanie: I'm an adult now, Princess. I grew up.
Princess Alice: Oh no! Is that something that happens to you a lot? They probably have a vaccine for that now...
Stephanie: You know what? Never mind. Let's go get some lunch.
The two have since kept in contact, with the Princess once again paying Stephanie a visit nearly every weekend.
