Childhood and founding of Stephanie's Toy Palace

At age 8, Stephanie Nilsson inherited lots of money from her rich grandmother. She decided to use her inheritance to pursue her dream of building the world's largest toy store, establishing Stephanie's Toy Palace in QueenCity's central shopping district. Stephanie's Toy Palace quickly became a tourist destination for children from all over the world, as well as a favorite hangout spot of PrincessAlice, who became close friends with Stephanie.

Adulthood

Over the years, Stephanie and Princess Alice fell out of contact with each other. Upon graduating high school, Stephanie enrolled in HilltopUniversity, where she met Darryl Yes. After graduating with a business degree, Stephanie and Darryl married and moved to CalicasCorner, where Stephanie established a pizza parlor known as Stephanie Yes's 23-Hour Western Pizza Bonanza, notable as the only 23-hour pizza restaurant in the NorthlandValley region.

Reunion with Princess Alice

After not having spoken in 30 years, Princess Alice paid a visit to Stephanie at her home in Calica's Corner, and the two had a...mildly awkward reunion.

• Princess Alice: Didja miss me?

  Stephanie: Princess! I haven't seen you in almost 30 years!

  Princess Alice: It's been that long already? Wow.

  Stephanie: I thought you had forgotten about me.

  Princess Alice: I could never forget a friend! Say, something about you looks different. Have you gotten...larger, somehow?

  Stephanie: I mean, yes. Last time we saw each other, I was 10 years old.

  Princess Alice: ...right...and you look different because...

  Stephanie: I'm an adult now, Princess. I grew up.

  Princess Alice: Oh no! Is that something that happens to you a lot? They probably have a vaccine for that now...

The Princess apologized profusely for her absence, explaining that her duties as both a middle school student and a head of state keep her extremely busy most of the time.

Stephanie and the Princess took the train to Queen City to visit Stephanie's toy store, where they each picked out a special kite for one another. After taking a bus to the remote suburbs of Queen City, the two stood on a hillside and flew their kites together into the sunset. (Admittedly, Princess Alice had to use magic to make it windy enough to fly kites that day, but that somehow didn't detract from the sentimentality of the moment.)

Princess Alice pledged to keep in contact with Stephanie more regularly. Since then, the two meet up once a month to revisit Stephanie's favorite childhood hangouts.
