Santa Claus is the iconic holiday figure famous for distributing gifts around the world every Christmas.

Relations with Centralia

For many years, the Crown had a strained relationship with Santa Claus, stemming from an incident involving PrincessMeredith.

Late in her reign, Princess Meredith, who had very little knowledge of Earth culture, learned of Santa Claus and his Christmas tradition for the first time. Unfortunately, as the result of a severe misunderstanding, Meredith became convinced that Santa wished to overthrow the Crown and install himself as ruler of Centralia. This culminated in Meredith ambushing Santa during his Christmas Eve rounds. Fortunately, Santa was able to fend off Meredith's attacks--notably proving himself to be one of the few creatures with power to rival an Asterian--and eventually DameAdorabelle arrived to talk Meredith down and properly explain the situation.

Santa's yearly meetings with the princess of Centralia have continued into PrincessAlice's reign, though in practice, it's mostly Alice's advisors who discuss logistics with Santa, rather than Alice herself, who tends to spend the time enthusiastically rattling off all the gifts she wants to receive that year.
