Princess Jeanette was the second sovereign princess of Centralia, best known for her progressive views and dedication to social reforms.
Journey to the strange nonmagical world
While Jeanette made no attempt to hide her nature as a divine magical entity from another universe, most inhabitants of the strange world, who were conditioned to disbelieve in magic, did not recognize her magical powers as genuine, instead assuming she was merely an eccentric young woman very dedicated to roleplaying.
Professor: Oh, you made my coffee cup "levitate"! How did you do that? I can't feel any strings or anything.
Jeanette: I already told you. I am an omnipotent extraterrestrial princess from another universe!
Professor: You sure do have an active imagination, Jeanette.
Jeanette: (groans)
Cherry Blossom often felt the need to clarify that Jeanette, despite her claims, was not quite omnipotent, though they acknowledged that compared to the humans in the nonmagical world, the distinction was largely academic. Also, nobody believed in Jeanette's powers anyway, so there was little point in arguing over what to call them.
Classmate: If you're really as powerful as you say you are, why haven't you done anything with it? Why don't you reshape the world in your image for something?
Jeanette: In my own universe, I did that. But in your universe, I am strictly an observer. My objective is to learn about this world, not change it.
Classmate: So it's like "3rd Rock from the Sun"?
Jeanette: I do not know what that means, and if previous conversations on this matter are any indication, I do not want to know.
Classmate: I thought you said you wanted to learn about our world!
Jeanette: Yes, but not from you.

Background
Born on Asteria, Jeanette migrated to Earth at a very young age, and thus spent her formative years engrossed in Earth culture. Her extensive knowledge of life on Earth made her a valuable companion to PrincessMeredith, with Jeanette often helping explain the more confusing aspects of Earth culture to the Princess. It was this display of leadership that led PrincessMeredith to appoint Jeanette as her successor. Princess Jeanette was crowned the Sovereign Princess of Centralia upon PrincessMeredith's New Year's Day abdication following The SantaClaus Incident.
Princess Jeanette enacted many social reforms during her reign. Notably, it was under Jeanette's rule that Centralia adopted the metric system, replacing the bizarre customary system introduced by PrincessMeredith, in which measurements were mostly based on comparisons to an average porcupine, which Meredith called a "pointyboy". (For the curious, 1 Centralian pointyboy = 33 inches = 0.8382 meters.)1
Fate
Princess Jeanette began the search for her successor very shortly after taking the throne. When concerned subjects asked why she would be appointing her successor so soon, Jeanette simply replied that she felt it was better to be prepared, "in case anything unfortunate should happen." Eventually, Jeanette selected Alice, noting that Alice's magical potential was far beyond that of any other Asterian she had ever encountered.
Only a few years after announcing Alice as her successor, Princess Jeanette embarked on what she referred to as "The Ultimate Adventure". Jeanette was extremely secretive about the nature of the adventure, and never disclosed any details about what the "adventure" entailed, not even to Alice or Meredith. Jeanette waved goodbye to Alice, Meredith, and a gathered crowd of her loyal subjects as she left the palace to begin her "adventure"...and that was the last any living creature ever saw of her.
While Jeanette's ultimate fate remains unknown, her successor, PrincessAlice, maintains that Jeanette is still alive, remarking that "It is, naturally, very difficult to kill a goddess." Despite Alice's assertion, Jeanette has been declared "presumed dead" for legal purposes, as this was the only way Alice could formally assume the throne without her predecessor willfully abdicating.
