The Eternal Schoolgirl of the Midway is a legendary figure purportedly spotted at fairs and carnivals across the region, including events in Discordantia, Zeoria, and Mumuland.

Witnesses describe the Eternal Schoolgirl as a young girl, about 12 or 13 years old, wearing a school uniform with a brooch bearing the circled star emblem representing Centralia. She is said to appear at carnivals across the region throughout the summer and autumn. When not gorging herself on fair food, the mysterious girl plays midway games, which she always seems to win, as if by magic. Notably, she never keeps any of the prizes, instead distributing them to other children (and occasionally lonely adults) at the events.

No clear photos of the Eternal Schoolgirl exist. She seems to have an uncanny ability to hide herself from would-be photographers, with witnesses describing her disappearing around a corner the moment they pull out a camera. The few witnesses who have managed to photograph her have found that, upon developing the film days later, the schoolgirl is mysteriously absent from every shot, even when the children she was playing with are clearly visible.

Despite sightings dating back at least 50 years, the Schoolgirl never seems to age. Some have recounted tales of the Eternal Schoolgirl sharing carnival prizes with them when they were children, only to grow up and see their own children being given prizes decades later by the same girl, seemingly unchanged.

A community of enthusiasts has grown surrounding the mysterious figure, with several websites and blogs compiling purported sightings of the Eternal Schoolgirl. Some enthusiasts have compiled a map of the locations where the Schoolgirl is sighted. Oddly, sightings have been reported in every nation in the region except Centralia, though most enthusiasts have dismissed this as a simple coincidence.
