Dollar Depot, based in Colerain, is a chain of retail stores selling items for $1 or less. The products sold at Dollar Depot are widely regarded as being of inferior quality, especially their selection of magical items sold under the Magestic brand.

Dollar Depot's primary competitor is Centralian Dollar.1

Products

Magestic

Magestic (apparently a portmanteau of magic or mage and majestic) is Dollar Depot's line of magic implements and supplies.

  • Magic Wand -- Supposedly a standard magic wand, sold for one dollar. The packaging warns that it may be one of Lord Voldemort's horcruxes. PrincessAlice bought one such wand and tested it by attempting to light a fire in PrincessLexi's fireplace. However, even after modifying the wand to increase its power, she was unable to produce anything but a large amount of smoke.2

  • USB Magic Wand -- A magic wand that connects to a USB power supply. What purpose this serves is not known, as magic wands are not known to require electricity. 3

  • USB Broomstick Charger4

Others

  • Candy Diapers -- a seasonal item ostensibly meant to celebrate Easter, though nobody's quite sure what candy diapers have to do with the holiday.5

  • Snow Queen -- a mockbuster of Disney's Frozen. Available on DVD-R, as production of proper pressed DVDs was apparently too expensive.6

  • Pony Polish --- makes horses shiny!7

  • "WD" shields --- obvious knockoffs of the Warner Bros logo.8

  • "Stephen Multiverse" action figures -- totally not inspired by a popular Cartoon Network series.9

  • Toy $1 bills -- sold for $1 each during a special promotion.10

Otherkin Warehouse

Launched in December 201411, Otherkin Warehouse is a wholesale chain owned and operated by Dollar Depot. It's apparently targeted at otherkin, but you can shop there, too!
