Princess Alice's "urban exploration"

Like any prominent abandoned building, the mysterious nature of the Cloverleaf Mall has captured the curiosity of the local schoolchildren, including rumors that the site is haunted.

The ever-inquisitive PrincessAlice took it upon herself to "investigate" the site. Unlike the many trespassers before her who took great care to hide their illicit activity, Princess Alice parked her extremely distinctive car in a prominent place outside the mall's main entrance and simply "blasted" a hole in the boarded-up doorway with her magic to enter the mall.

Ross, the underpaid community college student assigned to patrol the mall grounds as a security guard, heard the blast (because obviously he did, it was very loud) and contacted the Queen City Metropolitan Police. When Ross mentioned the pink Cadillac convertible parked outside the breached entrance, everyone at the police station immediately knew who was responsible. A brief argument ensued: Some officers insisted the call be considered low-priority: "It's just the Princess playing around again." Other officers countered that the call should be considered an emergency, positing that the Princess, left unsupervised, is herself a great threat to public safety. The argument continued until someone pointed out that they were spending more time arguing than it would take to just drive to the mall.

Eventually, Constable Jennifer Payne arrived at Cloverleaf Mall and confronted Princess Alice. Constable Payne politely asked the Princess to come with her, but the Princess refused. The details of what happened within the mall were never made public, though a bystander captured video of several police officers literally dragging Princess Alice out of the building kicking and screaming. Somehow she felt no shame or embarrassment about this. I don't really understand her sometimes. Also, the video went viral on TikTok.

When Princess Alice was returned to the PalaceOfSerenity, her handlers asked why she did not simply ask to organize a visit to the site--after all, as the ruler of Centralia, she would almost certainly have been able to easily obtain permission from the property owner. Princess Alice simply responded that she didn't want any adults to be involved because "grown-ups always ruin the fun."

Princess Alice subsequently lost her Nintendo DS privileges for two weeks.
