A brief description of broadcast callsigns in Centralia:
Licensed AM, FM, and television stations in Centralia are assigned four-letter callsigns.
The first letter of the callsign indicates the Princess under whose rule the station was licensed. M for PrincessMeredith, J for PrincessJeanette, and A for PrincessAlice.
To date, no two princesses have had the same first initial. However, MinistryOfBroadcasting policies specify that, in the event of a conflict with a future princess's name, the new princess may choose which letter will represent her. The policies do not, however, provide any guidance for the 27th princess, who will have no letters left to choose from.
The remaining three letters are chosen by the licensee, usually standing for something pertaining to the business. An example is the CentralianBroadcastingAuthority's flagship station, MCBA-TV, in QueenCity.
The suffixes -AM, -FM, and -TV are optional, except when multiple types of station use the same base callsign.
